Substation and Switchyard Works.
A substation is a high-voltage electric system facility. It is used to switch generators, equipment, and circuits or lines in and out of a system. It also is used to change AC voltages from one level to another, and/or change alternating current to direct current or direct current to alternating current.
Change voltage from one level to another. Regulate voltage to compensate for system voltage changes. Switch transmission and distribution circuits into and out of the grid system. Measure electric power qualities flowing in the circuits.

The Survey , Civil foundation, structure construction work of all the hydropower i.e. upper chirukhwa, lower Chirukhwa, erukhwa khola and lankhuwa khola Substation work in tumlingtar substation is executed by Neppower company.
The substation bay design, Gantry Design and erection, switchgear equipment supply, erection, installation is already executed and the testing and commissioning work is in progress of Lower and upper chirukhwa and lankhuwa khola HPP.
